It was true that there was the possibility to play actual sports or at least parts of, but the focus was more on the cinematic elements. The sequel of this mode had a lot lower luster than its predecessor. The story was not as fascinating and the novelty wears off very quickly.

It's probably a given that EA will be looking to modify the mode, however it might be better served to simply eliminate it entirely. If it's improved, fans are going to be focusing a lot more on the other features Madden NFL 22 has to offer. Electronic Arts should make some improvements to the game's writing when they decide to bring it to the market for a third year. EA should pay greater attention to creating compelling stories if they want to bring back this mode.
