In 1985, Japanese professor Komin Yamada designed the Global knives. The knives were a sensational success in their time in terms of design, quality and sharpness and still inspire professional and amateur chefs all over the world today. Global knives have been made from Cromova 18 since 2002 and then ground by hand to razor sharpness.
